Grizzly Jams: Vol VI
The competition I’ve been training for is in 9 days; I couldn’t be more excited, HOA is posting info daily about arrivals, teams, waivers, equipment, movement standards and I have read it all at least 3 times to make sure I miss nothing. Just my luck, I go and fucking hurt myself. The worst part is that I’m not even sure what did it. During the HS-walk practice yesterday I tried some shoulder touches and I felt a bit of a tweak in my left shoulder, nothing that felt serious, just a discomfort; something most people who do crossfit are more than used to ignoring. Then during the WOD, 24kg KB thrusters didn’t add any discomfort, and I don’t remember doing anything stupid, but I’m guessing based on where it hurts that towards the end I might have dropped the KB a little harshly onto my shoulder. The pain is centered around the AC joing, which is where the clavicle meets the front of the scapula (acromion). Right now I can’t move my left arm at all, I’m hoping with ice and rest I’ll be able to get back t it tomorrow – but I’m not stupid enough to try anything today. Fuck I hate being hurt, especially when it’s my fault; it’s always my fault.
