Apologies in advance for tonight’s post. My boss asked me at 3:00 pm today to try and have something done by noon tomorrow. That means very little leisure time for me tonight. But I wouldn’t want to leave you guys in the dark – I know how much you all love hearing about my exploits.



Bench Press 5RM; 4 x 5 @90% 235; 210
Barbell Row 5RM; 4 x 5 @90% 240; 215

Every 2 min on the min for 12 rounds:

I’ve been on kind of a rant/complaining streak lately with my programming and I think it’s undermining my efforts a little. It’s hard to approach something you dislike with as much intensity as something you dread. James said something today that really resonated; he said “that’s the difference between being and athlete and just training, when you train you never do the things you don’t like.” He had a point – I didn’t sign up with Mike to have him program me things I love all the time. That being said, I still think there is still definitely a stylistic difference between the two cycles beyond simply programming things I like or don’t like. The best thing for me is to simply provide Mike that feedback and the worst case he just tells me to shut up and keep training.

That’s all tonight – I’ve got shit to do!
