Brotato’s and Chickpea’s,

Last night was like the night before Christmas – I literally couldn’t sleep, it took me 2 hours to fall asleep, and I was up every 45 minutes or so; at least that’s what it felt like. I’m so jazzed about this blog and new adventures – how could any sane person just go to sleep?!

Another great thing happened today – my blog idol Juli Bauer of PaleOMG fame responded to my e-mail! She’s just a normal person like me?? Why wouldn’t she have responded to a fan letter? I don’t know but I was nerdily excited. The best part was the deliberation I went through to send it, check the grammer, is it too formal, maybe I shouldn’t. I must’ve written 3 or 4 separate ones. Apparently I need a picture of my mug so you guys have something to relate to – so here goes…

That’s me! What a looker right?? I took a bunch of serious ones and I hated all of them, I’m such a girl. In frustration I made this face and decided it summed me up perfectly.

Today was a prescribed rest day, since I had to work on Saturday this was my first rest in 4 days of Outlaw, so I was due. That being said; I can’t do nothing. I’m really bad at sitting on my couch all day, or just going home after work. So I like to take rest days to work on mobility and skill’s I’m bad at. Today that was double unders and muscle ups. I did about 10 minutes of work each and a 5k row.

Nothing special, just to keep my hips loose for tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow…MY FIRST TASTE OF COMPETITION!!! Crossfit STL, and the other 2 affiliates under the same ownership Crossfit XtraMile and Crossfit ICE are doing a “Friday Night Lights” style competition 3 Fridays over the next 4-5 weeks. I’m a competitor; I love to compete and also win (I’m a really bad loser), but I’m still terrified! Wish me luck!

P.S. Breakfast for dinner! Whaaattttt?! The world just flipped turned upside down.
