I got scolded yesterday for using an “old” picture, even though it was super appropriate for the box jump commentary. But oh well.

Instead take these non-relevant pictures of my Airdyne from Monday morning and the resultant Marc Pro session that inevitably followed.

Yesterday’s training actually pleasantly surprised me in a couple ways. First, the pressing, normally on these 3RM EMOM’s I don’t get much passed 80-85% of my true max, just because the rest is so short. But on my strict press yesterday I actually beat an old max of 170, though I imagine all the gymnastics work I’ve been doing is what I’m noticing there. Still, pleasant surprise for how I’ve been feeling lately. The second surprise was how not destroyed I am today after 4 rounds of some pretty gross stuff yesterday. I figured for sure I wouldn’t be able to move my arms, but seems like I’m finally adapting to this volume, which is exciting and scaring. Still alive, and actually a little happier today, go figure.

  1. Glad you’re posting again. Good stuff. I’m really interested in following your progress during the open. I currently follow Outlaw programming but I’m contemplating getting coaching for the 2015 season. Would you recommend it? Also, hows your most recent True Nutrition mix ?
