I’ve been a terrible blogger this week. Last Friday was my last day of work, and Monday is normally my get-to-work-and-write-a-post day. I also started a different training group this week, that has be training AM/PM every day, so effectively jumping from 5 sessions a week, to 10. So I’ve been a little distracted I guess is my point. Regardless, I’ll fill you in on what I was up to last week, and give you a little hint for what I’ve been doing this week, but don’t want to spoil anything as I’ll have a fresh post next Monday, trying to get into this whole life rhythm thing again. Being unemployed, even for just a week, is really strange.
This video is sweet. I love CJ, clearly a very dedicated coach, and obviously like the rest of the world think Lauren Fischer is one of the coolest people on the planet. It’s great to see inside the lives of athletes, I feel like most are pretty guarded, so this was fun.

I don’t want to re-hash too much training, most of this is now over a week old anyways so it’s not that interesting to me anymore, I just want to get it out there and move on. I’m a little disappointed with the push press last Tuesday, but its the first time my left forearm has allowed me really to press anything overhead in awhile so I guess I can’t be too upset to tie an old 4RM. The TTB/DL combo was a fun one, I didn’t come at it in a sprint mindset, so though it was quick, it truly was more of an 85% effort, trying to control my pace to be able to go UB on everything. The “Modified” MU Biaththlon was much easier than the Games version obviously, but still a good test, and given how I’m not very gymnasty, I felt good about where my Muscle Ups were on that day. It’s more about consistency than any one day anyways right?!
In other news, graduate school starts Monday, so there will be even more transitions and changes upcoming, hopefully I can keep my shit together long enough to keep this current and entertaining! Wish me luck!! Obviously I’m saving Monday’s post for all the changes, both to training, schedule, and diet. So stay tuned for all of that – it’s going to be crazy!! And of course by crazy, I mean really pretty mundane changes, train more, eat more, etc etc. Learning a lot though and I can’t wait to share.
